BTCC rounds 13, 14 and 15 at Croft
Halfway through the BTCC season, 3D scanning company Physical Digital® continues to support West Surrey Racing through its technical sponsorship.
Technical sponsorship helps drive success
Croft Circuit is located in North Yorkshire and is said to be one of the most challenging and longest circuits in the UK, totalling 2.12 miles.
At the beginning of the Second World War, the circuit was mainly used as a bomber airfield called RAF Croft, and although there are records of racing that date back to the 1920s, it wasn’t until after the Second World War that Croft Circuit was known as a significant motorsport venue.
1962 saw Bruce Ropner buy half of the venue at a public auction with fellow enthusiasts, and in 1997 the circuit underwent a major transformation. New pits, a paddock complex, control tower and spectator areas were constructed and it was extended to 2.127 miles.
Croft Circuit will host the BTCC racing weekend on Sunday 11th June for rounds 13 to 15.
